The Royal Opera House is set to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Maria Callas’ birth with an exclusive exhibition showcasing career-defining photographs and stories of the famed diva.

“Callas at Covent Garden” will open to the public on July 14, 2023. Visitors will have the opportunity to view photographs capturing Callas’ performances at the ROH as well as images of her unique personal style.

Callas, widely considered one of the greatest singers in history,  debuted at the Royal Opera house in 1952 portraying the titular role in Bellini’s “Norma.” She subsequently appeared in productions of “Aida” (1953), “Il trovatore” (1953), “La traviata” (1958), “Medea” (1959), and “Tosca” in 1965.

The exhibit will be free to view Monday to Saturday starting at noon and around performance times on Sundays.
