Soprano Melissa Wimbish performs in the annual New Year’s concert honoring a living composer. The season honoree is Tania León. The program features works by León, Samuel Barber, Silvestre Revueltas, Duke Ellington, and more.

Performance Date: Jan. 13, 2027

The season closes with “Celebrating Alan Lomax: From Appalachia to Galicia.” The Washington Revels Jubilee Voices and OCEAN Quartet perform works by Lomax, Aaron Copland, and Ruth Crawford Seeger, among others.
