The Royal Ballet and Opera will host a Maria Callas Tour on Jan. 18 & 19, 2025.

The showcase will celebrate the Jan. 10 release of “Maria” and features costumes used by actress Angelina Jolie in the new biopic, designed by Massimo Cantini Parrini.

“Maria” released in late 2024 in the U.S. followed its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Critical consensus on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes states that “Angelina Jolie unveils new highs within her emotional register in Pablo Larraín’s ‘Maria,’ keeping this tragic biopic compelling even when its theatrics go off-key.” Per the website, 76 percent of critics were positive on the biopic that portrays a fantastical exploration of the famed diva’s final days.

The film was nominated for Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards with Jolie’s performance the major focus of the awards campaign. She is expected to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress when the nominations are officially revealed later this month.
