René Barbera, Elena Villalón, Lucas Meachem, Yaritza Véliz, Madison Leonard Among Headliners of The Dallas Opera’s 2025 Streaming Slate

The Dallas Opera has announced its streaming slate of recent productions.

The company had previously announced a slate of operas to stream this summer, mainly those from its 2024-25 season.

First up is the October 2022 production of “Rigoletto” starring George Gagnidze in the title role, Madison Leonard as his daughter Gilda, and René Barbera as the Duke of Mantua. Emmanuel Villaume conducted the production.

Streaming Date: May 1 – July 31, 2025


Also streaming on May 1, 2025 is “Hansel and Gretel” with Kangmin Justin Kim, Elena Villalón, and Patricia Racette. Emmanuel Villaume also conducted the November 2022 showcase.

Another opera that can be viewed is “Das Rheingold” from February 2023 with Nicholas Brownlee and Amanda Echalaz. Emmanuel Villaume was also at the podium.

Also on the slate is an April 2023 “Così fan tutte,” directed by Michael Cavanagh. That April 2023 production starred Caitlin Gotimer, David Portillo, Kayleigh Decker, and Lucas Meachem.

“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” from November 2023 will also get streamed. Lucas Meachem stars.

Streaming Date: August 1 – Sept. 30, 2025


“La Traviata” from October 2024, starring Yaritza Véliz and Javier Camarena, is next. Iván López Reynoso conducts.

Streaming Date: Oct. 1 – Nov. 30, 2025


The other opera announced in the series is “Orpheus and Eurydice” from February 2025. That production starred Hugh Cutting and Madison Leonard in the title roles.
