The ceremony will be at la Sala del Camino in Ridotto which will be named after the soprano. Artist Giorgio Tentolini will unveil two works he has donated in honor of the soprano.

The ceremony will showcase the letter of praise that Paolo Grassi wrote to Renata Tebaldi and a number of documents from Casa della Musica – Archivio Storico del Teatro Regio di Parma will also be exhibited.

In a statement, Michele Guerra Mayor of Parma and President of the Teatro Regio Foundation said, “Loved and applauded all over the world and also acclaimed here at the Teatro Regio where he debuted at the age of twenty-three and was the protagonist of nine operas and a recital, this is a tribute that with gratitude and love we address to a woman and an artist who made hearts vibrate and still continues to excite fans from all over the world.”

Giorgio Tentolini added, “Renata Tebaldi is the latest protagonist of my research on politropos, or rather on the performers, artists with a strong personality, who in theater and music have been able to embody other characters.”
