
Rafał Bartmiński Honored by Polish Minister of Culture
By Francisco SalazarThe Polish National Opera has announced that tenor Rafał Bartmiński was honored by the Minister of Culture.
The company noted that that the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Hanna Wróblewska, honored Rafał Bartmiński with the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
The prestigious distinction was awarded in recognition of the exceptional artistic achievements of the tenor and for his invaluable contribution to the promotion of Polish culture both at home and abroad.
Bartmiński made his operatic debut in 2002 as Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin,” and has since performed such productions as “The Magic Flute,” “Halka,” “The Haunted Manor,” “Nabucco,” “Katia Kabanová,” “Madama Butterfly,” and “Rigoletto.”
He also performs at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, the Wrocław Opera, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, the Grand Theatre in Poznań and the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic.
