The Polish National Opera is set to present Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos.”

The production will be directed by Mariusz Treliński, following the success of his work on “Salome” and” La Die Frau beschmidt.”

In a statement, Treliński said, “It is a story about the loneliness of artists among people, about the pain of creation and confrontation with cruel patrons and the difficult realities of theater.”

Lothar Koenigs conducts the production with a cast that includes Rafał Bartmiński, Katarzyna Drelich, Nadja Stefanoff, Nicholas Trumpet, and Svetlina Stoyanova.

“Ariadne auf Naxos” is set to be presented between April 4 and April 27, 2025.
