Miller Theatre in New York City will present Quince Ensemble on Nov. 18, 2025.
The program will feature works from their recent studio album “Dust Bowl,” including the New York premiere of Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon’s “Destierros” (2025), Evan Williams’ “Dust Bowl” (2021), Carrie Henneman Shaw’s “the smallest gap” (2019), Eliza Brown’s “Cassandra, IL” (2018), and Plane “Wreck at Los Gatos” (2018), arranged by Liz Pearse from music by Martin Hoffman and lyrics by Woodie Guthrie.
For this performance, mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski will be a guest performer, alongside sopranos and ensemble regulars Amanda DeBoer Bartlett, Liz Pearse, and Carrie Henneman Shaw.
Quince Ensemble was founded in 2010 as a treble-voice quartet dedicated to performing, commissioning, and championing contemporary vocal music. To that end, the trio has premiered dozens of works by living composers, collaborated with leading new-music ensembles across the U.S., and released several recordings, including “Motherland,” “Hushers,” and “Dust Bowl.”
