The Princeton Festival has won the title of New Jersey’s “Favorite Opera Company.”

The award was voted on as part of the 2020 JerseyArts.com People’s Choice Award poll. This comes on the heels of the company’s beloved production of “Nixon in China” in 2019 and ahead of its upcoming production of “La Traviata,” which is scheduled for June 21 and 28, 2020.

“We’re thrilled that lovers of the performing arts have honored us with this vote of confidence,” said Richard Tang Yuk, the Festival’s Executive and Artistic Director, in a press release. “Opera has been a mainstay of the Festival throughout its history, and we’re proud to produce top-quality performances right here in New Jersey.”

“La Traviata” will feature Lindsay Ohse as Violetta Valéry, Benjamin Werley as Alfredo Germon, Brian Major as Giorgio Germont, and Samantha Glossard as Flora Bervois. Richard Tang Yuk conducts a production directed by Steven LaCosse.
