President Donald Trump Hints That Kennedy Center to Be Renamed in a ‘Week or So’

President Donald Trump has announced that “in a week or so,” the Kennedy Center will be renamed.

During his Oval Office press conference, Trump once again floated the idea of renaming the center after him. He said, “Some people refer to it as the Trump Kennedy Center, but we’re not prepared to do that quite yet.” he did, however, add, “Maybe in a week or so.”

He floated the idea as he was announcing that the FIFA World Cup drawing would happen at the arts center on Dec. 5, 2025.

Earlier this month, Trump had already renamed it via social media on a Truth Social post in which he said, “GREAT Nominees for the TRUMP/KENNEDY CENTER, whoops, I mean KENNEDY CENTER, AWARDS.”

Earlier this year, Congress proposed a bill to rename the Kennedy Center after the current president. It also proposed naming the opera house after the First Lady of the United States. However, it can not be done unless the bills have the votes in Congress.
