Kennedy Center Could Be Renamed ‘Donald J. Trump Center for the Performing Arts’

Donald Trump is reportedly considering renaming the entire Kennedy Center after himself.

According to reports, Republican Representative Bob Onder of Missouri introduced a bill that sought to rename the Kennedy Center to the “Donald J. Trump Center for the Performing Arts.”

The bill was introduced as the “Make Entertainment Great Again Act” and Onder described the President as “a patron of the arts and a staple of the pop-culture landscape.”

Onder added, “President Trump’s love and mastery of entertainment has stood the test of time and allowed him to capture Americans’ attention for decades.”

The new bill comes after Republican Representative Mike Simpson of Idaho introduced a bill to rename the Kennedy Center’s Opera House after First Lady Melania Trump.

When Trump and his wife attended the opening night of “Les Misérables” at the Kennedy Center in June 2025, both were booed by the crowd while Drag Queens were applauded. The president and his wife have not attended the Kennedy Center since the performance.
