The Gewandhausorchester Leipzig has announced its 2023-24 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances for the season.

Andris Nelsons conducts a concert that includes Hanna-Elisabeth Muller and Kirill Gerstein. Thomas Ades and Sibelius are featured on the program.

Susen Schneider performs a Mendelssohn program.

Performance Date: Nov. 4, 2023

Magdalena Kožená and Elena Bashkirova perform Mendelssohn, Erwin Schulhoff, and Fanny Hensel.

Performance Date: Nov. 5, 2023

Andreas Reize conducts Bach with soloists Joanne Lunn, Silke Gang, Mauro Peter, and Lisandro Abadie.

Performance Dates: Dec. 15-17, 2023 

Manfred Honeck conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Julia Kleiter, Catriona Morison, Maximilian Schmitt, and Tareq Nazmi.

Performance Dates: Dec. 29-31 2023

Andrè Schuen and Petr Popelka perform Dvorak, Brahms, and Mahler.

Performance Dates: Jan. 25 & 26, 2024

Bach’s “St John’s Passion” will be performed by Jakub Józef Orliński, Elisabeth Breuer, Tomas Kral, and Benjamin Appl. Andrea Reize conducts.

Franz Welser-Moist conducts the “Verdi Requiem” with Limmie Pulliam, Roberto Tagliavini, Deniz Uzun, and Asmik Grigorian.
