Phoenicia International Festival of The Voice to Hold Outdoor Concert at The Knickerbocker of Naples

On December 19, 2020, Phoenicia International Festival of The Voice will present a salon-style concert held at The Knickerbocker of Naples in Florida.

This outdoor concert will feature soprano Jasmine Habersham, tenor Adam Diegel, and bass-baritone Kyle Albertson; they will be accompanied by Milana Strezeva, founder of Naples’ Grand Piano Series.

The program will include selections from “Carmen” and “La Bohème,” as well as Musical Theatre and popular favorites.

“More than putting on a world-class concert together with exceptional artists, this is an act of resilience. We could not do safe outdoor concerts in NY so we had to migrate where the weather would allow us to create opportunities for artists,” Maria Todaro, the General Director of the Phoenicia Festival told OperaWire. “Since the start of this pandemic we tried everything we could do to create jobs opportunity to as many performers as we could: we presented the 1st US drive-in live performance of Tosca on August 30th; we created a virtual concept borrowing the language of video games to try to present opera in volumetric; and now, we changed states to be able to remain safe but still create work.
“These actions, we hope, might inspire and give hope as we are all waiting to see our theaters reopening and  take a more normal rhythm, maybe returning to the past salon where Mozart, Beethoven got their chances is a temporary solution.”

Seating is limited in order to accommodate people while maintaining social distance, with mandatory masks inside the mansion and until seated outdoors, and sanitizing stations will be set up to allow the audience access to things such as hand sanitizer and face masks.
