Patricia Petibon, Pretty Yende, Sir Simon Keenlyside & Adèle Charvet Lead Théâtres de Compiègne’s 2021-22 Season

Théâtres de Compiègne have announced the 2021-22 season. Here is the full rundown.

Chœur de La Tempête performs “Les Vêpres” by Rachmaninoff alongside conductor Simon-Pierre Bestion.

Performance date: Sep. 11, 2021

Mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet performs works by Debussy, Aubert, Ravel, Delage and Duparc alongside pianist Florian Caroubi.

Performance date: Oct. 3, 2021

A performance of Scarlatti and Dvořák’s “Stabat Mater” features Amélie Raison, Aline Quentin, and Edouard Monjanel alongside conductor Simon-Pierre Bestion.

Performance date: Oct. 7, 2021

Les Aventures du Baron de Münchhausen” spotlights soprano Axelle Fanyo, and baritones Romain Dayez and Jean-Gabriel Saint-Martin. Hervé Niquet conducts a production by Patrice Thibaud.

Performance dates: Oct. 12 – 13, 2021

Sir Simon Keenlyside performs Gollaud, and Stanislas de Barbeyrac and Patricia Petibon star in a concert performance of Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande.” Jean Teitgen, Lucile Richardot, Chloé Briot, and Thibault De Damas round out the cast with François-Xavier Roth conducting.

François-Adrien Boieldieu’s “La Dame Blanche” showcases Sahy Ratia, Fabien Hyon, Sandrine Buendia, Marc Scoffoni, Caroline Jestaedt, Majdouline Zerari, and Ronan Airault. Nicolas Simon conducts a production by Louise Vignaud.

Countertenor Philippe Jaroussky presents various works alongside conductor Julien Chauvin.

Performance date: Nov. 14, 2021

Soprano Axelle Fanyo sings music by Mahler, Richard Strauss, Weill, Schreker, Wagner, Chausson, Gounod, and Poulenc. Thibaut Maudry plays the violin, while Chloé Ducray plays the harp.

Tenor Fabien Hyon performs alongside pianist Juliette Sabbah.

The Tenebrae Chorus presents works by Allegri, Chesnokov, Purcell, Harris, Holst, Lotti, Tallis, Tavener, Rachmaninoff, and Whitacre alongside conductor Nigel Short.

Soprano Pretty Yende performs works by Auber, Mozart, Thomas, Rossini, Gounod, Saint-Saëns, and Donizetti alongside Lorenzo Passerini and Les Frivolités Parisiennes.

Tenor Enguerrand de Hys sings music by Fauré, Gounod, Weill, Villa-Lobos, Debussy, Liszt, Chaminade, Ravel, Noel, Saint-Saëns, Lully, Offenbach, and Mussorgsky alongside pianist Paul Beynet. Élodie Roudet plays clarinet.

Massenet‘s “Don Quichotte” spotlights baritones Jean-Christophe Lanièce and Igor Bouin. Jeanne Desoubeaux is the director.

Baritone Arnaud Marzorati and soprano Harmonie Deschamps perform alongside violinist Anaëlle Blanc-Verdin. Olivier Prou is the director.

Bass Julien Guilloton, baritone Louis-Pierre Patron, and tenors Olivier Rault and Ryan Veillet perform various works.

Bass Francois Lis presents Mozart’s “Thamos, Roi d’Egypte” alongside le Chœur de chambre de Namur and L’Orchestre National de Lille. David Reiland conducts.

Sopranos Kate Combault and Elisa Doughty, and mezzo-soprano Lexie Kendrick present works by Bizet, Rossini, and Barber alongside pianist Kevin Amos. Édouard Signolet is the director.

L’Enfant Noir” showcases Ablaye Cissoko, Anne-Lise Heimburger, and singers of La Tempête.

Matthew Locke’s “Cupid and Death” stars Perrine Devillers, Lieselot De Wilde, Yannis François, Nicholas Merryweather, Lucile Richardot, and Antonin Rondepierre. Sébastien Daucé conducts a production by Jos Houben and Emily Wilson.

Luly’s “Georde Dandin” stars Cécile Achille, Caroline Arnaud, Juliette Perret, Virginie Thomas, David Ghilardi, François-Olivier Jean, Virgile Ancely, David Witczak, and Cyril Costanzo. Gaétan Jarry conducts a production by Damien Lefèvre.

Judith Fa performs Emma, and Anne-Aurore Cochet stars as Maud in Pascal Neyron’s production of Maurice Yvain’s operetta “Là-haut.” Richard Delestre, Mathieu Dubroca, Olivier Podesta, Stéphanie Guérin, Faustine De Monès, Mathilde Ortscheidt, and Marion Vergez-Pascal round out the cast with Nicolas Chesneau conducting.

Soprano Rachel Redmond, tenor James Way, and bass Sreten Manojlovic present Handel‘s “L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato” alongside conductor William Christie and les Arts Florissants.

Soprano Cyrielle Ndjiki Nya performs Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder alongside pianist Romain Louveau, violinist Fiona Monbet, and L’Ensemble Miroirs Étendus.

Violette Polchi portrays Caprice, and Sheva Tehoval takes on Fantasia in Olivier Fredj’s production of Offenbach’s ” Le Voyage dans la Lune.” Matthieu Lécroart, Eric Vignau, Thibaut Desplantes, Pierre-Antoine Chaumien, Marie Lenormand, Jennifer Michel, and Kaëlig Boché round out the cast with Pierre Dumoussaud conducting.
