Patricia Caicedo, Jorge Parodi, Mariano Gladic Team Up for Americas Society’s ‘En Casa’ Series

Americas Society has released a curated “En Casa” series.

The video series was organized by Ópera Hispánica general and artistic director Jorge Parodi, who invited two Latin American artist to record songs from their countries.

On Monday, August 23, the organization published Ginastera’s “Canción al árbol del olvido” featuring Parodi at the piano and Argentine baritone Mariano Gladic.

On Tuesday, audiences were given the chance to listen to Colombian soprano Patricia Caicedo as she performed, along with Parodi, her own song “Para vivir.”

Caideco and Parodi will be back for the Wednesday release, which is Camêu’s “Saudade” while Parodi and Gladic will team up for Piazzola’s “Los pájaros perdidos,” which will be released on Thursday. Caicedo and Parodi close out the series with Cimaglia’s “Botoncito,” which will be released on Friday.

Parodi and Gladic recorded together from Savannah while Caicedo recorded her videos in Barcelona, Spain.
