Pamela Pantos Steps Down from Central City Opera

The Central City Opera has announced that Pamela Pantos’ employment with Central City Opera has ended and that the search for a new President and CEO will begin immediately.

The company’s Board Co-Chair, Central City Opera Heather Miller stated, “We thank her for her work and wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Additionally, senior staff members Scott Finlay and Margaret Williams have agreed to serve as Interim Chief External Affairs Officer (Finlay) and Interim Chief Administrative Officer (Williams).

Pantos started working for the Central City Opera in 2022. She previously held executive positions at arts organizations including the Boston Children’s Chorus, Newport Music Festival, Arts Consulting Group and Opera North. She was also a singer who spent 10 years in Europe performing opera roles at many of the world’s most prestigious venues.
