Central City Opera has announced that Pamela A. Pantos will be its next President and Chief Executive Officer. She will begin her tenure on Feb. 28, 2022.

In her new role, she will serve as the company’s managing director, chief administrator, and community ambassador. She will be involved with the creation and preparation of the annual summer festival. She will also manage the Education and Community Engagement department.

Pantos has been an executive with such organizations as Boston Children’s Chorus, Newport Music Festival, Arts Consulting Group, and Opera North.

“I am honored to join Central City Opera as the new President & CEO and excited to contribute to the continued success of the organization,” said Pantos in an official press statement. “Utilizing the power of the arts and the company’s strength in historic preservation, I look forward to furthering the vision of this unique gem of an opera company.”
