First up, the ensemble is set to present “Christmas Carols by the Light of Candles” on Dec. 4 and 8, 2021 at 8 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach, CA.
The showcase, led by Robert Istad, will feature seasonal choral music from the Renaissance and beyond. Some of the classics that will be presented include “I Wonder as I Wander,” “Ding! Dong! Merrily on High,” “Silent Night,” “Patapan,” “Reflexionem,” “This Endris Night,” “The Holly and the Ivy,” and “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen,” among others.
“Nothing is more meaningful for me than celebrating the holidays with Pacific Chorale in Orange County,” Istad said in a press statement. “Our musicians create palpable joy in every concert, providing an experience we all need now more than ever before!”
This will be followed up by a family-friendly “Tis the Season!” on Dec. 19 and 20 at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa.
All attendees must present proof of vaccination and must wear face masks throughout performances to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
