On July 9, 2022, Vallejo Center for the Arts will present “The Greatest Wagner Concert Ever!”

Thomas Conlin will conduct the Vallejo Festival Orchestra for an evening of music from the composer’s most powerful works, such as “Tannhauser,” “Tristan und Isolde,” “Die Walkure,” “Lohengrin,” “The Flying Dutchman,” and “Die Meistersinger von Nuremberg.” Soprano Othalie Graham will be featured in the famous “Liebestod,” as well as dramatic arias from “Walkure” and “Tannhauser.”

“Wagner, perhaps more than any other composer, can be counted on to deliver the ‘goosebump’ factor,” Conlin said in an official press statement. “This will be an evening you won’t soon forget.”

The performance will be held at the Empress Theatre in Vallejo, California.

The showcase was originally scheduled for January 2022 but was postponed due to the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
