
Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias Names New General Manager
By Francisco SalazarThe board of directors of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias has named Oriol Roch as the new General Manager.
Roch will take over the position as soon as it is approved by the board of governors, and he will work alongside Music Director Nuno Coelho, who is under contract until 2027.
Roch was picked for the position over 15 candidates due to his proposed strategies and his past work in the industry.
Roch has managed such orchestras as the Euskadiko Orkestra and has been the technical director of the Real Filharmonía de Galicia from 2004 to 2014. He was also General Manager of the Orquestra de Cambra Teatre Lliure from 1990 to 2002 and has been part of the Ayuntamiento de Mataró.
