Orquesta de Extremadura Names New Manager

Bassoonist Hae Won Oh has been named Manager of the Orquesta de Extremadura in Spain.

The Patronato de la Fundación announced the news and Oh will be the youngest manager in the orchestra’s history.

Hae Won Oh began her training as a bassoonist at the age of seven at the Juan Vázquez Professional Conservatory in Badajoz and continued her studies at the Rodolfo Halffter Conservatory of Music in Móstoles. She has worked with the Paris Orchestra, the RTVE Orchestra, the Extremadura Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Center Pompidou in Paris, the Teatro Colón in Montevideo, and the Slovenian National Opera.

Her relationship with the Extremadura Orchestra began in 2010 and has collaborated with the orchestra regularly.
