Orchestra of The Bronx is set to perform Händel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 11, 2022.

The showcase is set to take place at Bronx Community College’s Hall of Fame Playhouse. Michael Spierman conducts the performance which will star soprano Halley Gilbert, mezzo-soprano Caroline Tye, tenor Gabriel Hernandez, and bass Philip Bullock. Also appearing will be the Bronx Opera Chorus.

There will also be 23 readers of the text representing a wide range of people from The Bronx community including political leaders, educators, business leaders, media personalities, judges, the Bronx District Attorney, and many more.

All audiences will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the past five days. Masks are optional, but recommended.
