The company noted that Elena Mosuc will sing the role of Leonora replacing Anja Harteros, who was originally announced.

She has also performed in opera houses and festivals in Europe including Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna, Salzburg, Paris, London, Milan, Rome, Venice, Brussels, Amsterdam, Bilbao, and Verona, among others.

The soprano is set to join a cast that includes Artur Ruciński, Yulia Matochkina, Stefano La Colla, and Robert Pomakov.  Paolo Carignani conducts the production.

“Il Trovatore” opens on Sept. 17 and runs through Oct. 16, 2022.
