Operalia Winner Kathleen O’Mara Joins Opus 3 for General Management

Operalia winner Kathleen O’Mara has joined the roster of Opus 3 for general management.

O’Mara is currently a member of LA Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program and is a 2024 recipient of the prestigious Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation.

This season, O’Mara is set to make her Metropolitan Opera debut in the role of Berta in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” She will also make her San Diego Opera debut in “La bohème” as Mimì. The soprano will also be seen on the concert stage with the LA Philharmonic in excerpts from “Carmen” conducted by Gustavo Dudamel at the Hollywood Bowl.

O’Mara has also performed with the LA Opera and the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.

She has participated in programs including the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Palm Beach Opera’s Apprentice Program, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy, CoOPERAtive, and Music Academy of the West.
