Opera Wrocławska Announces New Music Director

Georgian conductor Mirian Khukhunaishvili has been appointed music director of Opera Wrocławska.

He will start his tenure during the 2025-6 season.

He shared the news on social media and said, “I am deeply honored to share that, starting September 2025, I will be taking on the role of Music Director of the Wrocław Opera.”

Khukhunaishvili began his musical education at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and has collaborated with numerous ensembles, including the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatere Orchestra and Choir, the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra, the Tbilisi State Orchestra, and the Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra ‘Georgian Sinfonietta.’He has also conducted the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, and National Radio Orchestra of Romania.
