Opera Revue to Present ‘Bach-Humbug’

By David Salazar

Opera Revue is set to present “Bach – Humbug” on Dec. 8, 2024.

The show is described as being for those who aren’t ardent lovers of the holiday season.

“Tired of hearing the same old holiday tunes on repeat every time you walk into a department store? Us too. So, we are gathering our friends, donning our finest holiday attire, and belting out our frustrations in full operatic flair. Picture this: a chorus of holiday haters passionately lamenting the endless loop of ‘Rudolph’ while dramatically waving candy canes like they’re conducting a symphony. Because if we have to hear ‘Deck the Halls’ one more time, we might as well do it with a flourish!” said soprano Danie Friesen, who will be among the performers in the show.

The performance will also feature Alexander Hajek and Claire Elise Harris and takes place at The Redwood Theatre in Toronto. It kicks off at 8 p.m.
