Opera Orlando Announces Studio & Apprentice Artists for Upcoming Season

By David Salazar

Opera Orlando  has announced the roster of its Apprentice and Studio Artists for 2025-26.

The artists include soprano Alyssa Pimentel and tenor Evan Martinez, both of Stetson University. They will take on the opening production of “La Bohème” as Apprentice Artists. Joining them as Studio Artists are soprano Alexandra Kzeski, mezzo-soprano Ruoxi Bian, and baritone Logan Tarwater.

The Apprentice Artists program is a partnership with Stetson University and provides young singers with training and professional experience. The program is designed for undergraduate voice majors.

Meanwhile, the Studio Artists Program is for emerging singers and provides them with performance and covering MainStage role opportunities, as well as coachings, masterclasses, and other training.

“The Apprentice and Studio Artists programs are at the heart of what we do at Opera Orlando,” said education director Sarah Purser, per an official press release. “These young singers are not just gaining on-stage experience, they are bringing artistry, energy, and spirit into the community. It’s a joy to see them grow as artists throughout the season as they engage with schools, community partners, and the Company’s audiences and patrons. We are especially excited to welcome this season’s cohort to celebrate our 10th Anniversary.”

“La Bohème” will open the new Opera Orlando season this October.
