
Opera Orlando Adds Performance of ‘Treemonisha’

The company announced that following strong sales for the production, it has added a performance to its Saturday slate.
The opera opens on May 16, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. with two performances now on Saturday. The first kicks off at 2 p.m. and the second is set for 7:30 p.m. The company also revealed that the May 18, 2025 showcase at 2 p.m. is sold out.
The Scott Joplin work will be sung in English with English and Spanish supertitles available. The cast includes Taylor-Alexis Dupont, NaGuanda Nobles, Lloyd Reshard, Leo Williams, Brian Love, Geoffrey Peterson, Kristen Marie Gillis, Karl Didier Auguste, Jr. Israel Anderson, and Thandolwethu Mamba.
Everett McCorvey conducts and Roberta Emerson directs.
