Coinciding with the community event Food Truck Thursday, Opera Memphis will provide live music on Sept. 21 at Court Square Park. Later that day, an “Aria Showcase” takes place at University of Memphis. Sept. 22 the company will perform at Overton Park. Performances at Latin Fest and the Highpoint Arts Fest on Sept. 23 close out week 3 of “30 Days of Opera.”

The Grand Opening of the company’s new office and rehearsal space will take place on Sept. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Opera Memphis’ “Variations on a Theme” concert focuses on the inspiration of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The program presented on Oct. 7 includes selections from over four hundred years from artists such as Henry Purcell, Felix Mendelssohn, Ella Fitzgerald, Baz Luhrmann, and more.
