The 2026-27 Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artists have been announced.

The current class includes sopranos Laura Santamaria, Emma Marhefka, Anna Thompson, and Jasmin Ward, mezzo-sopranos Sophia Baete and Christina Grohowski, tenor Angel Raii Gomez, baritone Robert Wente, and bass-baritones Lonwabo Mose and Ben Strong. Pianist/coaches in the cohort are Lyra Zihua Liu,
John Morefield, and Michał Skowronek.

Singers have opportunities to perform in Met productions and pianists can serve as assistant conductors. Other engagements include concerts across the US and abroad.

The program which began in 1980, has seen many successful alumnae including Dawn Upshaw, Ginger Costa-Jackson, Petr Nekoranec, Alexey Lavrov, Ryan Speedo Green, Morris Robinson, Craig Terry, and Natalia Katyukova.
