Opera Maine to Present ‘Roméo et Juliette’ in 2026

Opera Maine is set to present Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette” next summer.

The opera will get performances at the Merrill Auditorium on July 23 and 26, 2026 in a production directed by Opera Maine Artistic Director Dona D. Vaughn and conducted by Israel Gursky. The cast has yet to be announced.

“This is the perfect gift for the opera lover on your holiday list,” said Caroline Musica Koelker, Opera Maine’s Executive Director, per an official press release.

Tickets for the production will go on sale on Nov. 13, 2025.
