
Opéra-Comique Announces 2026-27 Season Featuring Sabine Devieilhe, Johannes Martin Kränzle, Anaïs Bertrand & Jennifer France

Opera
Sabine Devieilhe sings the title role in Mozart’s “Zaïde” alongside Johannes Martin Kränzle, Xenia Puskarz Thomas, Hugo Brady, and Matthew Swensen. Raphaël Pichon conducts.
Performance Dates: Sept. 9-12, 2026
Jeanne Desoubeaux directs Bizet’s “Carmen” with Jérémie Arcache and Igor Bouin conducting. Anaïs Bertrand, Kaëlig Boché, Benoît Rameau, and Igor Bouin.
Performance Dates: Sept. 24-27, 2026
Stravinsky’s “L’Histoire du soldat” will be performed in a double bill alongside George Benjamin and Martin Crimp’s “Into the Little Hill.” Lucie Leguay conducts the production by Marie-Christine Soma and Daniel Jeanneteau. The cast for Stravinsky will include Christèle Tual, Maxime Crescini, Roland Vouilloz, and Jennifer France while Benjamin’s opera will star France and Joanne Evans.
Performance Dates: Nov. 8-16, 2026
The company will present “The Opera-Comique’s Fabulous History” with stage direction by Léo Cohen-Paperman and conductor Louis Langrée. The production will star Louise Bourgeat, Sophie Marcoux, Carla Chevillard, Ulysse Timoteo, Charles Fraisse, and Flannan Obé.

Donizetti’s “Rita” will be performed in concert with Emeline Bayart directing.

Félix Merle and Flore-Élise Capelier join forces for an evening of lieder.

Camille Chopin and Héloïse Bertrand-Oléari perform a recital.

Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin and Ayano Kamei perform a recital.

Charles Lecocq’s “Doctor Miracle” will be directed by Héloïse Sérazin.

The Opéra-Comique will perform readings-concerts at Librairie 7L and in the Foyer, celebrating poetry and vocal music.

The company will present “Georges and Carmen: Reading Evenings.”

The artists of the Académie de l’Opéra-Comique will present recitals dedicated to music by Gounod, Messager, and Massenet.

The company will hold masterclasses with such luminaries as Clément Hervieu-Léger, Didier Sandre, Louis Langrée, Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Jean-Sébastien Bou, Tamara Bounazou, and Emmanuelle Haïm.
