Opera Columbus has announced that it will be partnering with Capital University to create Opera Columbus Capital University Resident Artist Program.
The residency, which kicks off in the fall of 2019 and runs through the spring of 2020, will enable artists to join Opera Columbus and perform roles in a wide range of performance opportunities. Moreover, those artists will teach with the voice area faculty and also engage in performance activities with Capital University.
Opera Columbus will accept applications for prospective resident artists, with auditions set to take place in April 2019.
“Through this partnership with Capital University, we are able to mentor and promote the next generation of great artists, which is vital to the Opera Columbus mission,” stated Opera Columbus General and Artistic Director Peggy Kriha Dye in a press release. “The Resident Artist Program will be a unique opportunity for young artists to refine their skills and enhance their resumes.”
