Opera Colorado Announces Digital Series

Opera Colorado has announced details for its upcoming digital programming, beginning in March under its Opera Colorado Amplified series.

As part of a new relationship, Opera Colorado has partnered with Rocky Mountain Public Media for the production and distribution of these programs and will
broadcast select education programs produced by Opera Colorado to its audiences on RMPBS and PBS Kids.

Opera Colorado is also launching the Opera Colorado Amplified Resilience Fund, established to raise the $200,000 needed to produce this new digital content and execute creative, in-person programming when it is safe to do so.

The first concert of the digital series is “The Promise of Living” and Laquita Mitchell and Nmon Ford are the creators and stars of the multimedia program featuring pianist Israel Gursky. The program will include music by Copland, De Falla, Price, and more.

Streaming Dates: Premieres March 4 and is available on demand through March 18

The second program is “April in Paris,” which is set to be a television-style digital program celebrating all things French. The program will feature Catherine Cook with pianist Sahar Nouri and directed by David Lefkowich.

Streaming Dates: Premieres April 15 and is available on demand through April 29

“Storytime Sessions” will also be presented. Audiences will be able to inside Bravo Books, where stories come to life!

“Brain Breaks” will feature interactive sessions are designed to get you up and moving, learning about music and the arts.

The final offering of the season will be Arias & Ensembles will feature Opera Colorado Artists in Residence.
