Opera Carolina Reimagines 2020-21 Season

Opera Carolina has announced changes to its 2020-21 season.

The company announced that due to COVID-19, it will be re imagining its season and move toward a digital experience in order to better connect with its audience in these challenging times. The company will announce its lineup in the coming weeks, which will feature Virtual performances (also known as our iStream series), which it began during the shelter-in-place order.

Small-scale performances in open-air settings with appropriate precautions taken and a new Virtual Opera House will also conform part of the new season.

Opera Carolina also announced that its planned productions of “Tosca” and “Aida” will be postponed until the 2021-22 season.

Additionally the planned production of “I Dream” will be performed on April 11, 15, 17 2021. The company will announce casting for the opera in the coming months.
