Opera Birmingham Names Executive & Artistic Director

Opera Birmingham has named Natalie Bergeron to the position of Executive and Artistic Director, effective August 1, 2025.

Bergeron is a local native who has worked for more than a decade as a dramatic soprano performing throughout Europe and the Americas. She has appeared with the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, Opera Verona, Auditorium La Verdi, Birmingham Concert Chorale, Orchestra La Verdi, Opera Memphis, the Alabama Symphony, and Opera Birmingham.

Moreover, she has served as Director of Human Resources at EWTN and also worked in consulting and leadership roles in global HR and financial operations. Other roles she has occupied include Global Head of HR and Business Process Manager for a division of Standard Chartered Bank, among others.
