Verbier Festival & Wu Promotion to Continue Partnership with City of Shenzhen in 2027 & 2028

By David Salazar

Verbier Festival and Wu Promotion have announced the continuation of their partnership with the city of Shenzhen for two additional years, covering the 2027 and 2028 editions.

The announcement was made during a visit to Verbier by a Shenzhen delegation, following the success of the first Shenzhen Verbier Festival, held from Jan. 30 to Feb. 8, 2026.

The inaugural edition ran 10 days across Shenzhen’s major cultural venues and included 24 concerts, seven public masterclasses, and a professional round table, drawing more than 23,000 in-person attendees. The result established Shenzhen as the Festival’s anchor point in Asia.

The second edition of the Shenzhen Verbier Festival will run from Feb. 9 to 18, 2027. The program includes pianists Yuja Wang, Sergey Babayan, Nikolai Lugansky, Behzod Abduraimov, Ziyu Shao, and Lucas Debargue; violinists David Garrett, Pinchas Zukerman, Clara-Jumi Kang, and Daniel Lozakovich; violists Antoine Tamestit and Blythe Teh Engstroem; and cellists Mischa Maisky, Pablo Ferrández, Jing Zhao, and Kian Soltani. As in 2026, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform under the direction of Gábor Takács-Nagy.
