The Wiener Staatsoper is set to broadcast Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” on Orf 2.

The production by Laurent Pelly,  which premiered last week, is set to star Olga Peretyatko and Juan Diego Flórez in the leading roles. George Petean and Jongmin Park also star as Enrico and Raimondo.

Evelino Pidò conducts the production, which features a critical edition and a new cadenza written for Peretyatko by Pidò.

Pelly’s interpretation is a co-production with Opera Philadelphia, which premiered earlier this season.

Peretyatko recently performed the role of Lucia at the Metropolitan Opera while Florez performed it at the Bayerische Staatsoper. The two have collaborated numerous times in Pesaro in such works as “Matilde di Shabran” and most recently in “Le Contes d’Hofmann” in Monaco. They have also been featured in numerous concerts together.
