LA-based Numi Opera is set to present “Journey Out of Darkness” on May 29, 2022 at 7 p.m. local time.

The recital, which will take place at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California, will feature performances by Shana Blake Hill, Scott Ramsay, Roberto Gomez, and music director Christopher Luthl.

The concert will also include performances by Melodia Mariposa and The Alameda Quartet.

This performance features the company’s return to the stage for the first time since it presented “Der Ring des Polykrates” back in December of 2019.

Numi Opera was founded in 2019-20 with the aim of shining a spotlight on works of composers who suffered oppression. The company is run by Founding Director Gail Gordon, who has also run such companies as Nova Opera and the Santa Monica College Opera Theater.
