New York City Opera to Present ‘The Barber of Seville’

The New York City Opera’s Bryant Park summer series is set to continue Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” on August 18, 2023.

The production will be fully staged and is set to feature members of the New York City Opera Orchestra.

In a statement, General Director Michael Capasso said, “We are delighted to return as a part Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America for the 8th consecutive year. Our increasingly elaborate productions have drawn thousands of New Yorkers and tourists for free. It is truly ‘The People’s Opera.’”

The company is also set to present “Romeo and Juliet” and tenor Alessandro Lora in Concert.
