On March 14, 2021, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and Opera San Jose will present the virtual world premiere of “Hershey Felder, PUCCINI,” a new work by and starring pianist Hershey Felder.

Filmed in Puccini’s birthplace in Lucca, Italy, Felder was joined by guest artists such as baritone Nathan Gunn, soprano Gianna Corbisiero, and tenor Charles Castronovo. The story will see a young artist, enamored with the operas of Puccini, encounter the composer and gain a deeper understanding of his world.

The video is directed by Hershey Felder and Stefano Decarli with associate direction by Trevor Hay.

Tickets for “Hershey Felder, PUCCINI’ will begin at $55 per household, with on-demand access available through March 21, 2021.

Named as one of Time Magazine’s 2016 Top 10 Plays and Musicals, Felder has played over 6,000 performances of his self-created solo productions.
