Musical Upcoming Stars in the Classics to Present ‘Love Is in the Air’

Musical Upcoming Stars in the Classics (M.U.S.i.C.) is set to present “Love Is in the Air” on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at 4 p.m.

The performance, set to take place at the Church of the Western Reserve in Pepper Pike, Ohio, will feature soprano Hanyue Zhang, mezzo-soprano Caroline Friend, and baritone Colin DeMatteo. The vocal artists are joined by dancers Lieneke Matte and Antonio Morillo as well as violinists Zachary Brandon and Minchae Kim; pianists Jakob Aumiller, Matias Cuevas, Jackson Naglick, and Lucas Peters; and cellist Brendon Phelps.

The program features chamber music centered on themes of love and intimacy by such composers as Frédéric Chopin, Claude Debussy, Georges Bizet, Manuel de Falla, Kurt Weill, and Leonard Bernstein. A post-concert reception with light refreshments will follow the performance.

The concert is presented as part of M.U.S.i.C.’s ongoing Stars in the Classics series, which highlights emerging classical musicians in Northeast Ohio.

M.U.S.i.C. is a non-profit organization that has supported young artists in Northeast Ohio. The organization is supported by grants from The William O. and Gertrude Lewis Frohring Foundation, the William Bingham Foundation, Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, and several private donors.
