Musica Viva NY to Showcase ‘Lux Aeterna’ to Close Out 2022-23 Season

Musica Viva NY is set to present “Lux Aeterna” on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the All Souls Church in New York.

The performance will feature such works as Jessie Montgomery’s “Starburst;” Judith Bingham’s “The Darkness Is No Darkness;” Samuel Sebastian Wesley’s “Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace;” Franz Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G Major, D. 167; Richard Einhorn’s “The Luminous Ground;” and Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna.”

The performance will feature conductor Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez and organist Trent Johnson.

There will be a pre-concert talk at 4 p.m. featuring composer Richard Einhorn and Pamela Patton.

This will be the final performance of Musica Viva NY’s 2022-23 season.
