Music of the Baroque Celebrates Easter With Bach’s St. Matthew Passion

In anticipation of Easter, Music of the Baroque presents Bach’s, St. Matthew Passion.

The music that continues to spread compassion and hope will be presented by soloists tenors Gwilym Bowen and Paul Appleby, soprano Tess Altiveros, mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó, and baritones Brandon Cedel and Roderick Williams.

Dame Jane Glover conducts Music of the Baroque chorus and orchestra, along with the Anima—Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus.

The first concert takes place on April 2 at 7:30 pm at the North Shore Center in Skokie, IL. On April 3 at 7:30 pm, audiences at the Harris Theater in Chicago will enjoy Bach’s work.

The program will be available on demand starting April 7 at 10 am. All Music of the Baroque’s performances is available online for 30 days.
