Montreal / New Musics Festival Announces 2025 Slate

The Montreal / New Musics Festival has unveiled its 2025 edition. Here is a breakdown of the vocal performances on offer.

First up is ¡Némangerie mâchée! The showcase features a collaboration between vocal ensemble Phth and visual artist Beth Rey in which each vocalist is a composer and improviser.

Performance Date: Feb. 16, 2025

Vocal ensemble Ekmeles will present works by Taylor Brook, Zosha Di Castri, Charlotte Mundy, and Corie Rose Soumah.

Performance Date: Feb. 24, 2025

“Il Teatro rosso” will feature a collaboration with composer Steven Takasugi and director Huei Lin. The showcase features ensemble No Hay Banda and experimental soprano Sarah Albu.

Performance Date: Feb. 25, 2025
