Mikayla Sager Leads Opera San Jose’s ‘La Traviata’

Opera San José is set to close its 2025-26 season with Verdi’s “La Traviata.”
Former OSJ Resident Conductor Johannes Löhnermakeswill make his OSJ principal conducting debut, while OSJ’s Inaugural Resident Director Tara Branham directs the production.
The production will star Mikayla Sager as Violetta, alongside former Artist-in-Residence WooYoung Yoon as Alfredo. Completing the cast is Kidon Choi as Germont.
“La Traviata” will be performed from April 19 through May 3, 2026 at the California Theatre.
This season Opera San José presented productions of “Cavalleria Rusticana” and “Pagliacci” as well as “Madama Butterfly.”
