The Metropolitan Opera has canceled its Summer HD Festival screening of “Wozzeck.”

The company announced that due to the effects of Ida, the Sept. 2 screening can not take place. The news comes as Hurricane Ida’s remnants caused major flooding in the tri-state area as well as severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. There were at least 18 deaths attributed to the storm.

The weather also saw New York State declare a state of emergency and the first-ever Flash Flood Warning for the City.

The Met’s HD festival will continue on Sept. 4 with two live performances by the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra performing Mahler’s Second Symphony. The Summer HD Festival opened on August 27 with the documentary “The Opera House” and will run through Sept. 6.
