The Metropolitan Opera has canceled its Summer HD Festival screening of “Marnie.”

The company announced that due to inclement weather, the Sept. 1 screening could not take place. The news comes as Hurricane Ida’s remnants pass through as a low-pressure system through the Northeast bringing high-risk flooding and severe thunderstorms.

The “Marnie” HD, which stars Isabel Leonard, Christopher Maltman, Iestyn Davies, and Denyce Graves, will not be rescheduled. The series will continue on Sept. 2 with a screening of the 2020 HD of Berg’s “Wozzeck.” The broadcast stars Elza van den Heever and Peter Mattei.

The Met’s Summer HD Festival opened on August 27 with the documentary “The Opera House” and will run through Sept. 6. The festival will also include the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra performing Mahler’s Second Symphony.
