
Metropolitan Opera Announces 2025 Summer Recital Series Featuring Janai Brugger, Jack Swanson & Sunghoon Han
By Francisco SalazarThe Metropolitan Opera’s 2025 Summer Recital Series has announced its 16th season, which begins June 9.
The six free outdoor recitals will take place in all five boroughs of New York City, presented in collaboration with Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage.
The concerts at SummerStage in Central Park, which will be held on June 16 and in Brooklyn Bridge Park on June 14, will include performances by soprano Janai Brugger, tenor Jack Swanson, and baritone Benjamin Taylor.
Rising stars of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program soprano Tessa McQueen, mezzo-soprano Hannah Jones, and bass-baritone Sunghoon Han will headline four recitals on June 9 in Jackie Robinson Park, June 11, at 7 p.m. at the Williamsbridge Oval, June 13 at the Stapleton Waterfront, and June 15 in Socrates Sculpture Park.
Mariam Bombrun, in her first year of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, will join the singers at the piano.
The Met’s Summer Recital Series will feature famous opera arias and duets, as well as other classical favorites.
