MassOpera Announces Pop-Up Concerts on Labor Day
By David SalazarMass Opera has announced that it will be presenting “Social DistanSing,” a series of outdoor pop-up concerts throughout the Greater Boston area.
The performances will take place on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. They will feature Carley DeFranco and Katrina Holden-Buckley singing repertory by Gena Branscombe, Ricky Ian Gordon, Amy Beach, Judy Garland, Fernando Obradors, Puccini, Bernstein, and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
“The performance’s this Labor Day weekend will take place for at sites in and around East Boston, Chelsea, Roxbury, Allston, Brighton, and Dedham. Specific times and locations are not advertised, designed to minimize coronavirus risk,” newly appointed Co-Artistic Director Daniel Ryan told OperaWire.
The concerts will be streamed live on the company’s official Facebook page.
